What is the Blob in my bottle?
The blob in your brew is the ‘Mother’ culture or SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria & Yeast). Our kombucha is raw, alive and unfiltered and naturally carbonated. The living cultures in the kombucha create a new ‘mother’ in each bottle and continues to produce valuable enzymes, probiotics, antioxidants and organic acids. Chew it, swallow it, leave it in the bottle, compost it or keep it to begin brewing your own kombucha. Whatever you choose to do with the SCOBY, this is a sign of an alive & raw kombucha.
